Important information about how Home Service Match makes introductions and how third-party relationships work.

Our role

Home Service Match provides educational information and helps consumers connect with independent third-party service providers, which may include home service professionals, real estate professionals, investors, cash buyers or other businesses. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, Home Service Match does not itself perform the third-party services to which a consumer may be referred.

Independent third parties

Professionals and businesses introduced through Home Service Match are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, partners or representatives of Home Service Match merely because an introduction is made. Any decision to hire, engage, list with, sell to, contract with or otherwise transact with a third party is made by the consumer.

Contractor and home service referrals

Home Service Match does not perform, direct, supervise, inspect or control contractor work. Any scope of work, proposal, price, contract, warranty, permit, schedule, workmanship, payment obligation, property damage, injury, dispute or other matter arising from home services is between the homeowner and the independent professional or company providing those services. Consumers should independently review a provider's qualifications, current license status, insurance, proposal and contract before hiring.

Home seller referrals

Home Service Match is not a home buyer and does not guarantee a cash offer, market value, sale price, closing date or completed transaction. Depending on the option a homeowner requests, Home Service Match may introduce the homeowner to an independent real estate professional, investor, cash buyer or other third party. A homeowner is never required to list a property, accept an offer, use an introduced provider or proceed with a transaction because information was submitted to Home Service Match.

Compensation

Home Service Match may receive compensation for certain referrals, introductions, marketing relationships or completed transactions where permitted by applicable law. The existence or amount of potential compensation does not obligate a consumer to use an introduced provider. Additional transaction-specific licensing, agency, compensation or other disclosures will be provided when required.

Home Service Match is designed to help consumers understand options and make their own decisions. Consumers remain free to seek additional estimates, offers, professional advice or service providers at any time.

Real estate licensing disclosure

Home Service Match's seller resources are educational and referral resources. Where a referral, advertisement, solicitation or compensation arrangement is subject to real estate licensing or brokerage requirements, applicable licensing, brokerage, agency and compensation disclosures will be provided as required by law.
